Employer Sponsored Visas
Temporary Employer Sponsored Skill Shortage Visas TSS
The Employer sponsored Visa 482 allows skilled workers to live and work in Australia for an approved business for up to four years. This temporary visa allows applicants to include immediate family members to their visa. After being in Australia on a Temporary Skill Shortage (Subclass 482) Visa for a period of three years, workers and their families may be eligible to transition to Permanent Residency.
There are three stages in sponsoring an overseas worker under the TSS subclass 482 visa program:
1. Sponsorship: The employer applies for approval as a standard business sponsor.
2. Nomination: The employer nominates an occupation for a prospective TSS visa applicant or existing TSS visa holder.
3. Visa application: The person nominated to work in the nominated occupation applies for a TSS visa.
Permanent Employer Sponsored Nominated Visas
Subclass 186 (ENS) allow overseas workers to live and work in Australia for a nominating employer. This permanent working visa may be applied for through the direct entry stream or via a transitional stream once an overseas worker has been employed by the same employer on a 457 or 482 Visa for two or three years, depending on the occupation.
494 Visa
Subclass 494 Skilled Employer Sponsored (Regional) visa enables regional employers to address identified labour shortages within their region by sponsoring skilled workers where employers can’t source an appropriately skilled Australian worker.
